Dallas Temple

While we were at Judy's at Thanksgiving, we took the family to have our pictures made in front of the Dallas temple. Rico and Elizabeth were married in this temple in 1992.

Thanksgiving at Ma's

We spent Thanksgiving at Judy and Larry's house. The day started with a football game for the guys. Everyone came away with all bones intact so it was considered a huge success. The meal was wonderful-Larry is a great cook and Rico LOVES Judy's dressing. We had a fun time with everyone and the kids were very disappointed when it was time to go home.

Sleepy Daxon

Apparently, Daxon had a very tiring month. Dad found him asleep on the bathroom floor after taking a shower. He just couldn't make it all the way to the bedroom....Another day, we found him cuddled up to Denver on the living room floor.

Halloween

Caleb aka Zombie Knight and Daxon aka Scorpion Ninja had a great time this Halloween. We had a trunk-or-treat at the church Wednesday night and then we trick-or-treated our neighborhood Saturday night. A family in our subdivision spent the last 2 months building a haunted house in their garage and back yard so we went to that. (OK, Elizabeth sat on the curb with the dog while all the brave family members went in.)

Caleb's Solar Oven

Caleb learned how to make a solar oven in Science Class. He came home very excited and went right to work. Armed with a Froot Loops box, aluminum foil, scissors and lots of determination, he built his oven without any assistance. He used mom's oven thermometer to determine how hot it would get, then the next thing we know, he has cooked a frozen pizza outside for Daxon and himself! We were very proud of him. He is saving his oven to take camping with us.

Homecoming

Bethany went to the Kingwood High Homecoming dance with a few of her friends. Rico and I took them to dinner and then dropped them off. We threatened to stay and chaperone but, in the end, we didn't. (Maybe next time.) She had a great time getting all dressed up and is already talking about prom in a couple of years.

Ammon's Birthday

Ammon turned 16 Oct 4th. He didn't want a party-just a mint chocolate chip ice cream cake and a video game. He is now working on his Personal Fitness Merit Badge. It is the only thing keeping him from getting his Eagle so that he can get his license. He is driving with a permit, but cannot get his license without his Eagle Scout Award. What mean parents!:)
