Daxon's Science Fair Project

Daxon experimented with different kinds of paper airplanes. He had alot of fun picking which kind of airplanes to make and flying the planes for measurement. We took him to the gym at the church and he flew each plane three times to see which would fly the farthest. The results of his experiment were that there was not correlation is the shape of the plane. Each flew different distances each time.

Rylan's Blessing Feb 1, 2009

We were blessed with a new nephew right before Christmas...Rylan Clint Maranto. We traveled to Shreveport for his blessing the beginning of Feb. He is a beautiful baby and we were so excited to be there for that special event.

Volleyball...Maranto vs Barrow

Rico's brother Judd and his wife Amy set up a volleyball game with his family against hers. Both families are very competitive and love any opportunity to compete. Everyone had a great time but I am not sure who the actual victors were. They played several games and the teams were mixed. This is a picture of Ammon who turned out to be a pretty decent volleyball player.

Caleb and Brook

Caleb taught cousin Brook the art of making a face every time a picture is taken. Hopefully Aunt Amy isn't too upset with Brook's new skill.

Bethany and Rylan

Bethany loved holding baby Rylan and spent as much time doing exactly that as she could.

Pinewood Derby Jan 09

Caleb and Daxon had a great time at our Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. Both of their cars did really well, but were not the winners. Our neighbor came by as they were working on the cars and Rico let him enter a car he had made in the past in the family and friends division. Our neighbor actually won his division with Rico's borrowed car and took home a trophy. Rico finally had a car win a derby and the trophy is sitting in someone else's house:)
